This self-portrait is my attempt to find and restore myself in the context of a difficult relationship with my mother.

Paulina Antoniewicz

B. 1986; studied at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2006–2013). Received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage 2010/2011. Artistically active in the field of sculpture, drawing, photography, animation. Designed Man of the Year statuettes for Tok FM Radio (2011). Assistant to Paweł Althamer in projects entitled Mezalia, Almech and Dreamer, among others; she conducted Draftsmen’s Congress in Eisenhüttenstadt, Warsaw and Kiev. Animator in the film Mezalia (dir. J. Taszakowski). Solo exhibitions: Sculptural Installation, Communio Graphis Gallery, Góra Kalwaria 2005; Pulled Out of the Ass, FSW In Situ Gallery, Warsaw 2012. Third prize in the Hug Me competition organised by SOLBET and the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
