My degree piece complements the visitor’s tour of the Cistercian abbey in Sulejów. It was inspired by a sixteenth-century wall, a part of the inner courtyard and the remains of one of the abbey wings. The project involves the unveiling of the chapterhouse, now covered with vegetation, and building a seasonal facility from modern materials, to partially recreate the capacity of the former building. The resulting space can be used for outdoor exhibitions related to the Cistercians, and serve as a vantage point. The project is complemented by a café located in the former abbey garden, where one can relax in the midst of the restored greenery.
