I strived to present my reflection on the process of memorisation using visual language. How do we memorise things? Are memories genuine? Are they objective?
According to Aristotle’s theory, things experienced with the senses are engraved in one’s memory only after being processed by the imagination. Thus the imagination is a kind of axis of symmetry between the memorised and the real.Symmetry is a phenomenon which appropriates shape and simplifies our reception. We often see it where it exists only ostensibly.
While developing my pieces, I thought about the type of content we can ascribe to memorised experiences.Do they remain clear to us?
