The profession of conservator is fascinating to me because of the continuous search for and discovery of new solutions it entails. Thus studying at the Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art was an extraordinary adventure for me. I am especially interested professionally in the conservation of mural paintings – therefore for the subject-matter of my degree project I chose a Baroque fresco painting by Sebastian Eckstein in the Krasne church. The labour-intensive conservation process was a great challenge for me, but it also gave me a lot of satisfaction. It has only confirmed that this is the field I wish to pursue professionally.
